Inside the TimInside the Tim
A tim is a covered trading area with only two entrances which is based along a corridor system, whilst a caravanserai is usually open air and based around a courtyard. This particular tim is another of Allah Kuli Khan's buildings which leads from the Tash Hauli Palace through to the caravansarai and the modern Dishan Kala bazaar. Within its domes and cuppolas are market stalls which have overflowed from the bazaar and caravanserai. There are ambitious plans afoot to transform the tim into a new museum of Khivan jewellery and armour.
